Natural History Museum Wedding Photos
We just love these Natural History Museum wedding photos of Natasha and Rohan’s wedding reception. Yes, that’s right, this all happened at the magnificent Natural History Museum in Central London and we were the lucky photographers to capture it all for them.
Natasha & Rohan wanted Natural History Museum wedding photos and the reason why they chose this spectacular venue, was because Rohan proposed to Natasha here in August last year, on their 3 year anniversary (you can see how Rohan played out the scene in his speech in the set of images below). Although Natasha had always wanted to get married here, they weren’t quite sure if they could ever manage to get the venue for marriage, so the proposal was the next best thing. Little did they know that they would end up making the most significant memory of their lives here!
When the Museum’s doors had shut to the general public, the Hintze Hall was transformed into a wedding reception for a few hundred guests, in just under an hour. With its grand entrance leading to soaring Romanesque arches, the magnificent stone staircase, and of course the giant 111 year old cast of a 26 meter long Dinosaur (a Diplodocus named Dippy), this really has to be one of our favourite wedding venues we’ve ever had the privilege of working at. I mean, seriously, who wouldn’t want to sit down next to Dippy for dinner!
Whilst they were waiting for their guests to be seated before their grand entrance down the staircase, Natasha and Rohan were waiting on the first floor balcony, so they had some great views of all of their guests as they entered the hall. Natasha says it was incredible to watch people’s reactions as they entered the venue and they loved that people danced until the early hours of the morning and didn’t want to leave!
Natasha and Rohan’s absolute favourite moment (and ours!) was their entrance down the grand stone staircase, accompanied by the very talented Pavan (saxophone) and Dhol players from Mistry Music. To see all their favourite people in one room (with a dinosaur), together with so much love for them was a feeling like no other. In Natasha’s words: The whole night was perfection!
And we couldn’t agree more. This really was perfection on another level and we loved being there and sharing in the celebrations.
Thank you to all the suppliers for making it an unforgettable evening and a special shout out also to Tammy who helped us on the night and who managed to get some awesome shots!
