St Albans Registry Wedding Photos
St Albans, a historic market town in Hertfordshire is where Shiv & Simran tied the knot during their civil ceremony. And what a great location for St Albans Registry wedding photos this is!
The Gatehouse, once the Governor’s residence of the old prison, is an imposing and impressive Victorian building. Apparently, its prominent front doors have often been featured in films and television programmes here in the UK. This building is surrounded by a large beautiful garden, which adds to the atmosphere of the building and there is an impressive cannon at the entrance, providing an unusual backdrop for St Albans Registry wedding photos.
After the ceremony, we headed over to St Albans Cathedral for a few more photos. The Cathedral dominates the city’s skyline from every approach. Its architecture is a blend of many different periods, and it is best known for the shrine of St Alban, Britain’s first Christian Saint. Apparantly, the nave (this is the main body of the church, the central approach to the high altar) is the longest of any cathedral in England. Today , St Albans Cathedral is a busy centre for church, cultural and civic events and definitely a must see if you’re in the area.
Meyer and I love St Albans for various reasons and visit here as often as we can. One of our favourite places to visit is The Waffle House, located within a working 16th century watermill overlooking the river Ver. They specialise in sweet and savoury Belgian waffles individually cooked to order and using many organic and free-range ingredients. Again, if you’re in the area, make sure to stop by!
So, back to Shiv and Simran. We don’t want to say too much about them in this blog post, as this was the first of their THREE wedding events! So there are two more to follow, but we knew when we started off on a high with this one, that it could only mean one thing – their wedding events were going to be remembered and talked about for a long, long time. We loved sharing in this special day, Shiv and Simran. Thank you for having the faith in us to capture your wedding and we look forward to sharing the rest of your events over the next few weeks.
